MEL-80 excimer laser produced by Carl Zeiss Meditec has been granted an Americal quality certificate (FDA) which confirms its effectiveness within the wide scope of operated vision defects.
We offer even more SAFETY and COMFORT of performed operations by:
-
a special laser frequency which allows to prevent thermal effects
-
laser activity based on a patented technology called a “flying spot laser”
-
optimized diameter of an active beam (0.7 mm) which lead to perfect correction results
-
optimized ablation sphere by using an aspherical profile and saving the tissue
-
shorter ablation time
-
“Active Eye Tracker” equipped with an active, very fast (frequency > 1 kHz) system of tracking position of eyeball which automatically locates the pupil.
Together with MEL-80 laser we use an aberrometric and topographic platform which provides a full-profile diagnostics – CRS-MASTER, especially useful with persons with astigmatism, particularly irregular.
CRS-MASTER is the most developed device in the world for the process of planning customized ablation in connection with MEL-80 excimer laser.
The unique diagnostic system allows for performing customized vision correction operations based on the cornea topography and wavefront, that is the measurement of higher level optical disturbance. CRS-Master at the same time uses the data received from the topographer and from aberrometer as the only platform available on the market.
CRS-MASTER that we use is equipped with OcuLing system which ensures a fully automatic recording of eyeball position during the examination, as well as during the operation, which allows to increase the precision of performed corrections.
Microkeratomes NIDEK MK-2000 and Amadeus II (AMO) that we use are modern devices which reduce the operational risk to the minimum.
Our VISUMAX femtosecond laser produced by Carl Zeiss belongs to the latest generation of lasers used in ophthalmology. It works in infrared, in ultra-short impulses (from 250 to 800 femtoseconds), but in a high frequency (even 500kHz). In comparison with mechanic microkeratomes it gives a better expectancy of the created flap thickness. Thanks to the laser's precision there is a little possibility of intraoperational complications. It offers a greater safety of the method and better final results. It also allows for a faster rehabilitation of eyes and influences patient's psychical comfort.
